Wearing a floral dress, denim vest, studded flat sandals & carrying a big red handbag.. this girl gave me hope in submitting my assignment. When you're in Promenade Greenhills on a sunday afternoon (I wasn't able to trend-spot last Wednesday, I wasn't feeling well so I went home early), most of the people you'd see are children with their parents, grandparents & mostly just families spending their time together. And this girl, she's with her parents, brothers & perhaps their driver. I was looking at her & their "driver" was looking at me, probably wondering why I'm looking at his "alaga". That's why I had a hard time taking her picture.. Luckily, they stood for quite a time in front of Hobbes & Landes. But still, I was only able to take her back view.
A brief history of one garment she's wearing, the vest: it was introduced in England through Royal Proclamation on October 7, 1966 by an English King, Charles II. It was a simple straight cut, and close fitting garment made from black cloth with a white silk lining. Promoted personally by the King, it was soon popular with everyone.
Today, vests can be found in different kinds of fabric, with different cuts & designs and is also popular with everyone.

Her whole outfit is in the Early Majority stage as it is already mainstream, available in different stores & comes in various price levels. I would say that the Trickle Up Theory applies to this because this style starts with young people. Teenage girls & ladies in their early twenties would normally wear this when they are out to have fun & just enjoy the day. ^_^
